Request for a data certificate in the foreign office registry

Service purpose

• Obtaining a negative or positive certificate about the position of the establishment or company regarding registration in the foreign office registry
• The data certificate is issued in two cases:
  • At the request of the foreign office or the foreign company
  • At the request of government agencies

Required Documents

First, a request for a data certificate at the request of the official authorities (government)

• The origin of an official letter on the correspondences of the government agency requesting a certificate of data about the facility or company. It will not be removed with a true stamp with the logo of the Republic.
• Fees are exempt

Service Procedure

• Receive the letter
• Search the system
• Review the file, if existed
• Preparation and approval of the certificate
• Certificate delivery

Second, the documents required to request a data certificate at the request of the foreign office

• Original data certificate request form for foreign offices signed by the responsible manager or his representative
• A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for review
• If the office is registered in the register of foreign offices 
  A copy of the registration card in the register of foreign offices
• If the applicant is an agent
  • A copy of a notarized authorized from the real estate registry and the original for review (even a second agent is accepted only)
  • Acknowledgment of the validity of the authorized signed by the agent

Service Procedure

• Book an appointment through the GOEIC’s website through the following link

• Submitting documents in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 120 / 1982
• Estimate the fees and charges for the service upon request
• Go to the financial affairs at the headquarters of the main authority at the airport to obtain a letter addressed to the central bank estimating the value of the fees in US dollars
• Payment of fees to the Central Bank in US dollars
• Book an appointment through the GOEIC’s website
• Delivery of the original fee deposit receipt to the GOEIC’s headquarters in MAROUF
• Payment for the service at the Authority's treasury
• Search in the system
• Review the file, if existed
• Preparation and approval of the certificate
• Certificate delivery

• If the responsible manager is outside the country and delegates his legal representative to submit an application for obtaining the service at GOEIC, the authorized issued by a foreign authority must be certified by the Egyptian embassy or consulate abroad and deposited in the real estate registry in Egypt
